By Laws and Officers

Art Class: We understand not all students are able to be enrolled in an art class each year.  Therefore, we do not require you to be in an art class to join the Art Club.  If you are not in an art class, talented program, or a returning member you must write a short essay describing why you want to be in the art club due by the end of September.   You are required to be in an art class to be an officer.

Dedication:  You must have a true dedication to promoting art awareness to the students at NWHS and the community of North Webster Parish.

Membership Dues:  $5.00 membership due to be paid by the end of September.

T-Shirts:  $15.  All club members are expected to purchase a t-shirt. This fee is also due by the end of September.

Fundraising:  Members are expected to help with all fundraising activities regardless of whether or not they plan to go on trips.  This is part of your dedication to the arts.  Our traditional forms of fundraising have been candy sells (must sell one box), bingo (must help get donations and work bingo), and raffles (must sell at least 10 tickets).

Field trips:  Every year, we take an end of the year field trip.  Where we go depends on how much money we raise and student maturity.  Any students who have had disciplinary problems, failing grades, or their account on hold will not be allowed to go on the trip.

Activities:  Members will be asked to serve by painting backdrops, painting faces at events, setting up art shows, painting windows in the community, help with elementary events, making Christmas ornaments for the senior center, assisting in workshops, ect.

Officers:  All officers must be enrolled in an art class.President
