The library is an extension of the classroom. When in the library, students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is conducive to reading, learning, and study.

- Work quietly or sit and read
- Use appropriate language at all times
- Treat others with respect
- Listen attentively to teachers

Students may visit the library without a library pass after school each day (3:30-4:00).
Students who visit during class time must have a library pass with the student's name, date, time, and teacher's signature.
Students who visit the library before school (7:45) and at lunch MUST have a library pass from a teacher.

Teachers may bring an entire class to check out/return books or to work on research or projects for that class.
Teachers may also give students a pass to go to the library individually or in small groups.

- No food, drinks, or gum
- No backpacks
- No heavy jackets or coats
- Do not access:
- Chat rooms, Facebook, etc
- Sites with inappropriate language, pictures, or topics

- Books are checked out for 2 weeks.
- Checkout limit is 4 books.
- Do not allow anyone to check out books in your name.
- Overdue fine is 5 cents per school day.
- You may renew a book 1 time.
- You may place a title that is checked out on hold.
- Overdue reminders will be sent to your English class.
