I graduated from Springhill High School in 2011 as valedictorian. I participated in several organizations and activities while attending school, including varsity softball, Quiz Bowl, National Honors Society, and Beta Club. I graduated with honors from Louisiana College in Pineville, Louisiana, in 2015, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in English. In college, I was vice president of the English Honors Society and the Foreign Language Honors Society. I completed my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Louisiana Tech University in May 2019. In September 2019, I will begin working on my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership with a projected graduation date of Fall 2020.
One thing about me that students find most interesting is that I enjoy playing video games in my free time. I am engaged and will be getting married in December 2019! When we return from Christmas break, my last name will be Wardlaw! My fiance and I have two dogs- a chocolate lab named Allie and a beagle/bassett mix named Tanner! Pictures of them take up my snapchat story on a regular basis. I am thoroughly enjoying my time becoming part of the NWHS Knight family, and am ready to meet all my new freshmen!

Intervention Content Leader training, 2019.
I began teaching at NWHS in August of 2017. I grew up in Webster parish, and I’m excited to be teaching in my home school! I am currently teaching English 1, and I am sponsor of the Quiz Bowl team.
Before I began teaching at NWHS, I lived in Alexandria, LA, and worked at an eye clinic there as Human Resources Assistant. I learned a lot about social media marketing, interviewing, and optometry and ophtalmology. In that position, I spearheaded a program in conjunction with LSUA to help students receive on-the-job training at the clinic. These experiences have helped me learn to think quickly on my feet, be very well organized, and how to communicate effectively with people of all ages.
In December 2019, I will marry my fiance Charlie. He is an Athletic Trainer at Junction City High School. We have two dogs: a chocolate lab named Allie and a beagle/basset mix named Tanner.
I enjoy playing video games, writing, reading, and playing sports. I’m very competitive, so if I’m doing something that I could win, I’m going to try my hardest to win.
